I thought this book was excellent. It got my attention from the first page and kept it throughout. I literally read it in about two days. I could not put it down. I wanted to read it as a preview for potentially buying a copy for my students in our school library. I know they will love it too. You feel very engaged with the lead character who has lost her entire family in a tragic event and then becomes a foster child. You want to know why she was chosen to go and live with a super rich family that she has never met. Why she is chosen to become “”The Companion”. The entire story just works and I know it will be very appealing to my students. This is a suspenseful story that keeps you turning the pages until the truth is known. I would love to read more by this author.
