Margot has had a rough life up until now. She is immediately skeptical when these nice, rich people she has never met offer to take her in. Evidently, the man new her father when they were in law school. But still, they are hardly friends. She spends the first bit of the book (understandably) waiting for the other shoe to drop. And then it does, and it is such an odd request. I know from the overall description that this is a horror book so I am really curious what is lurking underneath it all. But even still, I instinctively like all of the characters in this book and don't want anything bad to happen to them. Which will probably make it all the worse when something does. As for the cover, it looks nice, but I am not altogether sure how it relates to the story just based on the first impression.
