I've been dying to read this binge-worthy, spooky book!
I really enjoyed this sample! The first scene of the book pics up immediately following the accident Margot was in, and I found that approach more engrossing than a long, drawn-out exposition. I think this is giving us a clearer picture of the mental, physical, and emotional state of Margot from the jump.
It's sure to be a spooky whirlwind of a story, and I can't wait to read what happens next for Margot with her new care takers, the Suttons. I also think the cover, while simple, is perfect for this YA horror. I learned about this title on Goodreads over a year ago and if the rest of the book is as excellent as this sample, it is well worth the agonizing wait!
