I was immediately hooked by the beginning of this book. I can't imagine anything much more tragic than being the only surviving member of your family and losing everything you've ever known. The moment when Margot meets Agatha for the first time is chilling. You can sense that something is terribly wrong in the Sutton house, something more than just Agatha's catatonia. The request seems simple enough for Margot: stay with the Suttons, have a home and every material possession ever dreamed of, just be a companion to Agatha. I'm dying with curiosity to know what Agatha's story is. The cover is amazing. Instead of a spoon full of sugar, we have a spoon full of needles. Having read the first few chapters, I have to read this book in its entirety.
