Wow, "The Cleaner" starts out with a BANG (no pun intended), but ends in a whimper. I'm always looking for a new series of books to read. I had high hopes for this one.
Like some of the other characters I follow, John Milton feels guilty about his past and decides to try and do some good. The author has the right idea, but the story seems a little slow. Not enough action. It seems there should have been more find the main character and less of the supposedly feel good story part.
There was a long delay in getting the ARC (Advance Reader Copy) book. The book is a decent read, but it is not up to par to so many other series I read. Although The Cleaner wasn't what I expected, I will read the next in the series of John Milton. You can't always judge a book by it's cover (I know, a cliche saying), so I'll give the others a chance to capture my interest.
Thank you Bookishfirst for giving me the opportunity to read and comment on: THE CLEANER.
