The Cleaner is about an assassin who wants out. Milton is a British assassin. He is tasked with killing a married couple from Iran, who are scientists working on Iran's nuclear weapons program. The assassination goes wrong when a cop shows up that Milton has to kill and he finds the couple's young son in the back seat. He makes the decision to let the son live.
Milton is walking away from the program, but is told by "Control," his boss, that he cannot. And that is where the first impression ended. I'm dying to know what happens. That is my sign that the book is worth buying and reading-when I can't wait to see what happens next.
