Normally I am intrigued by WWII stories. However, this one just didn’t pull me in like the others. I also noticed the editing marks that were in the text that I don’t think were meant to still be in the text so that would pull me out of the story as I tried to determine what the author meant to say. The way the story was being told seemed to be all over the place and maybe that is because it's being told through the eyes of an 8 year old.
