As an adopted kid this books stands out to me. I like how the synopsis and excerpt does a good job of making us more interested in Amerigos coming of age story, I’m invested in finding out how he changed and if he feels like hi loyalties to his old life (and mother) don’t matter anymore because he has something better. Very interesting book that I hope to read.
