I found it to be an interesting point of view, as most World War II historical fiction books take place in Nazi occupied territories and deal with that as a main conflict. I don't read a ton of historical fiction but personally I enjoy any book that is able to transport the reader to a different country or unique region, so I appreciated the thought put in to the setting and description.
