Historical Fiction in a "New" Place
I read a lot of historical fiction set in WWII, but most is set in Holland, Germany, or Austria. I haven't read one set in Italy so it's a different setting I'm looking forward to reading about.
The voice of Amerigo Speranza instantly grabbed my attention and gripped at my heart a bit as well. He sounds so innocent and young with a big life changing event about to take place! The author does a wonderful job at writing from his perspective.
