Historical fiction is my genre and I’m particularly fascinated with WWII novels. I’m always looking for new perspectives, new stories and especially in these times, stories of resilience and bravery. I’ve heard a great deal about this book and the first few chapters don’t disappoint. The story of Italian children sent north during the war is a new story for me although there have been tales of this happening in other countries. I see Amerigo as a new hero and would really love to finish his story!
