I received the book pretty late according to the time it was supposed to be shipped but it was kind of worth the wait. This book did not disappoint me but some things that I wanted in the book to make it better wasn't included. It was a gothic book that included ghosts that give a sort of eerie vibe. If you are enjoy haunting historical fiction novels that have that sentiment then you will love this book. It features ghosts in a haunting mansion set in the 1950s. When a book has a horror theme that is set in a historical time period, I always tend to enjoy it. It also includes strong and deep themes that send messages in the story to have you thinking not just about the creepy ghosts but also about family dynamics, grief and so much more. I would definitely give this book a try because it was a good book but I do overall think it is missing something even though I can't tell what.
