The cover is stunning, the flowers contrasting with the rifle and the bright yellow text. It would definitely get noticed in a bookshop. However, the synopsis did nothing for me. It sounds too much like a psychological thriller despite the blurb calling it a feminist gothic story of a cursed family. I might pick it up because of the cover but I'd put it back down because the premise just doesn't interest me.
