Could this book have its roots in a Winchester Gun tale?

One of the things that intrigues me about this movel is the cubject matter. I am familiar with the Winchester House and its doors and stairs that go nowhere. The late Mrs. Winchester believe that she was haunted by the ghosts of the victims of her husband's invention and the continual constructin was meant to confuse them. I wonder if is this author was familiar with that story. anyway, I think it sounds like an intriguing read. Another thing that I like about this novel is the dueling timelines...I LOVE dueling timelines
