I'm slowly but surely going through the old excerpts to try to rack up more points to get more freebie books. Life got in the way for a few months, but now I'm back at it. I'm trying to mostly go in alphabetical order by file names, but things sometimes get jumbled, so bear with me.

Keeping in mind that I'm only going off of the excerpts at this point, I have to just say - wow. The imagery on this one was absolutely stunning. The writing was lyrical, and the hook was solid. I was immediately engaged with the story. Although I could tell that this book was definitely not intended for an adult audience, this was one book where that didn't seem to matter. She was just writing a good story, one that happened to have a wider audience than normal, as opposed to writing a story to pigeonhole a particular target audience. I've found in many cases that these lead to some of the best stories, and while I don't yet know if that's going to be the case with this one, I'm definitely looking forward to finding out. I'll be purchasing this one for sure.
