I wasn't sure how I would feel about this book at first. I was intrigued, but I just wasn't sure how to feel about a story where a girl turns a man into a music box. I was afraid I wouldn't be able to buy into it. I started reading though, and the author drew me in. I fell in love with Teo, the bright and quick-witted heroine. You felt her frustration at being a girl in a society that doesn't respect females. She was the best heir to her family, but she couldn't assume the role of head of the family because she was a girl, even though she was her father's right hand man so to speak. You also feel her frustration at not being able to be who she is and practice magic. Then she meets Cielo, who is just like her and sparks fly. This was such a fun read. I loved the characters and the storyline was completely original!
