Beautifully Unique Fantasy World filled with Shapeshifters

I really loved this book! I have read the entire book, and I have to say, Amy Rose Capetta really did a great job with this one! I loved seeing Theo, the main character, grow throughout the story. The romance was cute, but not overly mushy. The magic was really interesting, and I liked how uniquely the magic system worked in this book. At some points, the plot was kind of slow, however for the most part I really did enjoy the pacing and the plot. The Italian-inspired settings were beautifully described.

I'm really excited for the second book, and I can't wait to find out what happens next! The first book ended in such at such a good point, and I am really intrigued as to how the story will continue!
