First of all I love the cover, it is beautiful. I also love the setting of this book, and the fact that it is a paranormal type book.

At first glance I did not know really what to expect, so I started reading through the first impression and it is so well written, there is great dialog and a wonderful plot that I have a feeling may be really angsty! There are many key characters.

The first time Teodora DiSangro, a mafia don’s daughter, it was apparent to her that family is fate. When she was 9 years old she saw her father kill for the first time. This also was the first time she realized she was different-a Stega and had magic in her to do so many things. She wished the glass of milk she dropped turned into a pile of sugar, and the milk in it turned into a moth and flew away. Her Father never even saw what happened and she kept the secret to herself.

This is what the book is about, her abilities, the need she has to be able to save her family from the Capo, the head of the country, the part of Italy they lived in. However there are five families that really rule things and Teodora's family is the di Sangro family, well loved and respected. The Capo has sent a letter to all of the five families, the four that got there before their letter did-each head of family died! When her Father gets the letter she watches as he opens the letter and realizes her father is going to die!
