I didn't read the whole first look because it was about 70 pages and if I read that much I'd need to finish it and wouldn't be able to. I liked how it gave you just a glimpse of the past to peek your interest. It will be interesting to see how well the main character grows up in an environment like that. The brief bit that I read of the present was very intriguing that her dad almost uses her as a type of hit woman with her powers. This will definitely be a good YA read
