Cussy Mary is a character I want to follow (through books) for the rest of my life. I wasn't ready to finish the book for that reason. The audiobook narrator was WONDERFUL - great expression, pacing, voice. The research behind this story was extensive and the end of the novel had maps and photographs and notes and that truly enriched the story.
