The Book Woman of Troublesome Creek was such a fascinating read! I loved the courage and love that was shown through Cussy's actions. She was so willing to sacrifice for other people and was able to love others even though she was so horribly treated by the others that were in her town. I don't think I had ever heard of the "blue people" before, so that was an educational extra for me that I will have to read more about. I enjoyed the writing style and the pacing as both flowed smoothly for me. I did not feel that there were any "slow" moments that bogged the story down. The characters were "real to life" with some that I loved and some that I did not love. The setting was well-written and I felt like I was in the backwoods of Kentucky. I liked how the author included both the blue people of Kentucky and the book women that brought books and magazines to the people high in the mountains.
