Good historical Fiction

This book explores the book woman who would deliver books on horses to the citizens of the mines and area of Kentucky, pack horse librarians. This particular book has more history about the "blue" folks who, the author explains in her note at the end of the book, are those who due to a blood disorder, appear to have blue skin. The main character is abused and shunned because of her blue skin. She suffers a loss yet she manages to keep her goals in mind and flourishes. She ultimately finds love and one feels nothing but happiness for her. She helps others always and it pays back in a big way. Great historical fiction about this time which most don't know much about.
