Never heard of the Blue People of Kentucky, but I did some research. These people where carriers of a genetic trait that led to the disease methemoglobinemia, which gives sufferers blue-tinged skin. This book seems interesting enough to borrow from a library. Cussy seems like an extraordinary lady and I would be interested to know more about her and her family.
