Thank you to Gallery Books and Bookish First for my advanced copy of The Book Charmer by Karen Hawkins. Sarah wants Grace Wheeler to stay in Dove Pond because Dove Pond needs Grace. Whether she wants to admit it, Grace needs Sara and Dove Pond. The title is about Sarah, but the book is Grace’s story. Sarah and Grace are well-written characters. I loved the development of their alliance which became a friendship.
I thoroughly enjoyed this wonderful story. It moves at a good, not too fast pace. The plot was magical, enchanting, and charming, just like I thought it would be when I wrote my First Impression. This is a book I could see myself re-reading again and again.
I hope to visit Dove Pond again and again. I can not wait to meet and learn more about its residents.
