Having a librarian be the main character with the special secret ingredient of being a "book whisperer" is such a fun idea. Having the librarian also be one of 7 sisters brought the thoughts of fairytale magic so believably into the book.

In all, I thoroughly enjoyed this book, perhaps as much or more than the Glory, NC duology written years ago. Whimsical and relateable in the simplicity of here and now, as well as gifting laughter and healing sorrow within the character interactions. At this moment Sarah is likely going to stay my favorite sister of the 7, and yet knowing that the future stories are all interwoven at some level with a deeper back story will provide even more as the series continues.

Karen Hawkins became one of my go to authors long ago, and she still continues to mix witty comments in with the potential drama so that you almost feel as if you could become friends with the characters if you were fortunate to live in the fictional town.
