I've updated my review since I have now read the whole book (I had just an excerpt to review before.)

THE BOOK CHARMER is a warm, interesting, entertaining story with wonderful characters.

The "dedication" page in this book is one of the most romantic dedications I've ever read. That in itself would make a great story!!

I love the beginning of the book when we learn a bit of the childhoods of Sarah and Grace. Sarah's secret reading place sounds like one I would enjoy for myself! Then, Grace's story of a childhood that was lonely for her. Overshadowed by her cute, sweet younger sister, Grace had a battle inside of her to "fit" into the world.

As the story progresses to the present time, Grace seems to still be struggling with life. Many things happen that change her life totally and are beyond her control. But, things work out and give her hope.

I like Sarah's empathy for others. She is a loving, caring person. I love her librarian character.

I would like to see more of Grace and Trav in future books in this series.

I think the struggles and joys of the characters are very real....just like we have in today's world.

This is a great book. I'm looking forward to the next books in the story and to see Dove Pond grow.

The following is the review I wrote on the advanced excerpt:

THE BOOK CHARMER seems like it's a warm, interesting, entertaining story from the Bookish First Read that I read.

The "dedication" page in this book is one of the most romantic dedications I've ever read. That in itself would make a great story!!

I love the beginning of the book when we learn a bit of the childhoods of Sarah and Grace. I really want to know why "the book" was telling Sarah that she "needed it". Her secret reading place sounds like one I would enjoy for myself! Then, Grace's story of a childhood that was lonely for her. Overshadowed by her cute, sweet younger sister, Grace had a battle inside of her to "fit" into the world.

When the story progresses to the present time, Grace seems to still be struggling with life. I'm anxious to read about her and what happens to her. I'm looking forward to this book very much.
