I'm intrigued by the limited description of Hassan's talents, not to mention a possibly queer character in 15th century, and in this setting. Fatima's desire to see new angles of the world she cannot freely visit and her desire for "air" is a lovely set-up to her coming flight from the palace. Willow's other novel, Alif the Unseen, I really enjoyed despite a bit of a slow first third for me, but I have hope that these characters will build upon six more years of writing (some very, very good comics) and her always fascinating world building. Oh yeah, and the cover is flipping lovely.
