I was skeptical to start this book, but I'm SO GLAD I did. I love to read Young Adult Romance, but for some reason, I just wasn't extremely drawn to this book. But, by golly, I'm so happy that I changed my mind. The Best Laid Plans hooked me by the first sentence. "The first thing I see when I open the door is Chase Brosner’s bare ass, flashing at me from the bed like some neon Vegas billboard." Who thinks of that?!? This book is super relatable for teenagers, (especially for high schoolers of the Junior and Senior classes) that are either; outcasts, like Keely; popular, like Danielle; party-goers, like Andrew; and probably even cool film dudes, like Dean. I, being an outcast, really enjoyed the fact that this book was from Keely's perspective. It really shows a perspective that I haven't seen much in books. Way to go, Cameron Lund! Beautiful writing!
