This book is very intriguing! The main character, Keely, feels very relatable and her choices so far have seemed justified. While the excerpt given, which is the first few chapters of the book, only barely set the premise in place, it didn't feel like it was dragging or slow.

The very beginning of the book threw me for a loop, as it mostly just drops you into the story and sometimes introduces characters without explaining who they were, but background information is eventually given. I found myself having to double check who each person was a few times in the first few chapters, but after that, I was able to keep track. I will be very interested to see where Keely and her friends go and how they deliver the full premise of the book!
