Slow Burn
Thank you Bookfirst for giving me the opportunity to read an advanced copy of The Best Laid Plans in exchange for an honest review. I was looking forward to this book thinking it was going to be a funny rom-com, however it was not very funny and boy did it drag. Talk about a slooowww burn romance and then a rushed 5 pages of happily ever after which you so knew was coming the entire book. I liked the main character Keely, I was able to relate to her on a level. I use to have really good guy friends and felt like that was probably why I didn't have a boyfriend until my senior year of high school so I could relate to her there. I was hoping she would be more badass and not conform to those around her as much as she did but I guess that was the whole high school need to fit in vibe the author was trying to portray.
