The Best Laid Plans was honestly really good. Very early on, the author gave me enough to get fully attached and invested in the story—although the very first few lines had already hooked me!
The writing is cute, didn’t run on and the characters reminded me of myself and my friends while we were in High School. I too was an eighteen year old virgin who’s friends all lost theirs before me, so the story really hit home.
I always felt like an outsider in school, so I love to read books that bring me back, like I’m reliving those days through these characters. This book made me want to go back to high school and do things differently. I had a good experience, but there are definitely things I’d wish I could redo.
The love story between these main characters was adorable and I couldn’t stop smiling.
First, If I had a hot guy (who owns a motorcycle) try to talk to me, it would have made my entire year! Second, the friends to lovers trope isn’t usually my favorite, but this book did it well. For once, I was happy with that outcome!
