I thought the story was going to be a little corny at the start. The voice throughout the entire book is strong. The entire time I kept saying to myself that I feel like I am in high school. With tried and true high school problems. I felt like we got a little stuck in the murky middle. but the ending pulled us back in and tied the story back together. I think the author does a great job at not shying away from any of the hard topics, and really does a good job of being relatable to teens. Did not love the male characters in this book. They did not have any qualities that I look for in a great lead male. The author also does a good job of talking about misogyny and the truth of it. So overall it was an enjoyable read.
