This was a great read to feel nostalgic towards my high school days, where crushes on boys felt more serious than they actually are, and having sex came with a lot of pressure. I think the female pressure to not be the last girl to “lose it” in their group of friends, Keely’s group of friends, that was exhibited in this book is still a real issue that girls have to deal with, and I felt like the author did a good job tackling the topic as a main issue in the book.
I love that Keely ultimately realizes the person she’s meant to be with is Andrew her best friend, I think it’s safe, and is a story that happens often.
Overall, it’s a quick, fluffy read, a good debut story, but unfortunately a story that to me, is not that memorable.
I’m looking forward to what else this author will release, and I will keep her on my TBR pile.
