T H I S B O O K. An absolute GEM of a book. I won this on BookishFirst and screamed when I got the email. This book surpassed every expectation I had for it. I am a sucker for the best friends to lovers trope and I fall hook line and sinker when it is the boy that harbors feelings for the girl. I loved the characters, I loved the plot, and I really liked how their first time wasn't this perfect thing. It made it more real to me. I would have of course loved it if it was but how they got together wasn't perfect and it usually isn't. The characters were funny and really well developed. I have read books where the male main character is portrayed as a playboy but when it is revealed that they aren't it doesn't always land well if you know what I mean as well as the "your my best friend, teach me about sex and kissing so I am ready for someone else". I have seen clunky versions of these two, but Cameron Lund wrote them perfectly. A fantastic debut novel and I just want to read it all over again like it is the first time!
