The Best Laid Plans is a funny and sharp-witted coming of age story that will leave you nostalgic for the woes of high school. I loved getting to see the high school lifestyle through Keely’s eyes and it was able to relate to her feeling left out when her friends start to advance in their personal relationships faster than she does. I also love the promise that this book offers of a great love triangle and a friends to lovers story we can all root for. As Keely continues to navigate her last year of high school she will have to stick up for her values, and she may just find that what she is looking for has been in front of her all along. The Best Laid Plans will easily leave readers coming back for more as they happily cheer on Keely from the sidelines.
