I can't say I like the abrupt ending, but I consumed this story from start to finish. This world is so different from ours and yet some of the scariest parts ring a bit closer to the truth of modern society than comfortable. I felt that the story practically ended still in the climax. Will there be a sequel? I feel like there is so much more possible here.
I loved the concept of the Belles which is why I bought this book when I didn't win it. A world that is obsessed with appearances and the Belles are responsible for giving them beauty. But not everything is as it seems and some outwardly beautiful people are as ugly as it comes inside. So many expectations and betrayals at court. Aside from the end that left way more questions than I like, I loved it.
