Overall, this authors prose is extraordinary. It's a rare occurrence when I can perfectly imagine scenes in my head immediately after digesting prose. Usually it takes a few beats. This is not the case... At first I imagined a post-apocalyptic Hunger Games-esque tattered landscape, however, it slowly started to blossom into something new and beautiful entirely. It is also reminiscent of the Uglies by Scott Westerfield - the perfect blend between sci-fi and dystopian with a splash of utterly gorgeous imagery provided by the author. However, one thing that particularly excites me is the aspect of magical realism and then wonder that comes with where this story is going to go. I'm not sure where it's supposed to go, but my imagination is absolutely running WILD!
