Only reason I’m giving it a lower rating that I would like too is because the beginning felt a bit too slow for my taste, the reason why ended up enduring its slow beginning is because of the amount of detail that Dhonielle Clayton has in this books. What you’re reading in this book comes alive and you forget it’s just a story. Also, I feel like this book has a very important message to give its readers and that’s about the importance of inner beauty, specially in a society where a persons value is determined by their looks. I have not read the second book in this series, yet although I have it on my shelves. But i will try immerse myself in that story again once I am finally able to pick up its sequel.
