This novel seems really interesting and has a very unique plot that I hope does not end up being cliche and repetitive. I really enjoy the world building, so far, and I hope that the author really delves into the society and politics in this story. My one big worry is about the protagonist and cliches. I really hope that the author focuses on her characters and makes sure that they do not follow too many of the tropes that I have been seeing in young adult fiction. For instance, I see too many heroines that seem to be extremely brave and strong from the start of the novel, in spite of the fact that they are teenage girls that have never been in any particularly terrible situations. Characters should develop and seeing this development makes the novel a whole lot more interesting. Luckily, the novel seems to be beautifully written and I hope that Danielle cleighton lives up to the hype.
