Matched meets the Selection in an exciting thrill ride!

I loved this book!! This book was a mixture of Matched by Ally Condie and The Selection by Kiera Cass! This book had magic, action, suspense, court intrigue, mystery and a little romance. The Belles are a group of girls that were born with the ability to make people beautiful through the power of their Arcana. All the people in Orleans were born with gray skins and red eyes. They were cursed to be ugly without the help of the Belles. Camellia Beauregard is one of the these Belles and she wants to be the Belle chosen to be the favorite of the Queen of Orleans court. She is talented as a Belle but she may get more than she bargained. The royal family is troubled by secrets, a tragedy and danger. Camellia is asked to do the impossible with her Arcana and she soon realizes that her Arcana is in fact capable of more than she or her sisters were ever told. This is the beginning of a series that has very promising and exciting start.
