I’m excited for this book. I believe it will appeal to my students who look for intrigue, romance, and mystery in their reading choices. My readers/ students are always looking for new books to read. They are finally beginning to enjoy books again. I couldn’t be more proud of the readers they are becoming. They are loving these new books.
The book looks as if it has a voodoo New Orleans feel to it. That’s intriguing to this former Louisiana resident. That world is foreign to my students, and they will love learning about it. Witches, vampires, and southern style

t took me thirteen chapters to get into this book, but I finally did. There were two spots that felt like rushed writing, or maybe I just forgot those events. I’m not sure.
Pretty good. Reminded me of the Red Queen, and the Selection series.
