Let me start this off by saying I REALLY REALLY wanted to like this book. I truly did.
Cover - The cover is beautiful. The colors, the photo, it all catches your eye.
The author's writing style does seem quite beautiful at times.. And it really is a shame that this book did not work out for me. I unfortunately did not / could not finish this book. It did not hold my interest, and was slow-paced. As others have mentioned in reviews, the author chose to kill off a transgender character, which was an issue for a lot of readers. I think the lgbt+ representation in books is important.
Ultimately, this book was not it for me. BUT I would be interested in reading something else by the author to give it another shot.
