I really, really wanted this book to be great. It just fell super flat for me. I felt like a lot of it was just unnessecary filler to make the story longer. I never felt a connection to the characters. But speaking of characters real quick, Princess Sophia is a straight monster. Evil incarnate, that one! There was some good parts to this book but the bad really out weighs it. It has such a great message behind it though. It shows the extremes people could go to if we were able to alter ourselves like in the book. By the end though, maybe the last few chapters it did start to get better but by then isn't it too late? I'm not sure if I will buy the 2nd book to continue the series. Pretty disappointed so likely not.
