I can't wait to read the second book in this series! This book introduces us to the world of the Belles. The Belles are rare women who can create what is considered "beautiful" within their culture. Once they are old enough to leave the sheltered confines in which they were raised, they are sent out to various cities to be beauty consultants. At first, everything seems to glitter and shine and be made out of gold. The reader will soon realize that all that glitters isn't gold in this novel.
The world building is exquisite! If you enjoy fashion, beauty, fantasy and intrigue with a dash of romance then this is a perfect book for you.
The characters are believable and easy to relate to. Some are very endearing while others you would rather not meet again.
This is one of my favorite YA books that I've read so far.
