Camille is a belle, she and her sisters descend from the goddess of beauty and are tasked with bestowing beauty. A fantasy tale where all but the belles are born with grey skin and red eyes and are dependent on constant attention from the belles to keep them looking beautiful. At age 16 they are given appointments in th city but it isn’t all Camille hoped for. Camille finds herself playing a dangerous game of politics and intrigue as she tries to discover the secrets of what she and her sisters truely are before it’s too late. This was a quick read with a rich world. The characters were realistic and motivated the reader to keep flipping pages to find out what happened next. Can’t wait for the sequel.
