I have had this novel on my to-read list when I first came across it on Goodreads and was very excited it was on Bookishfirst.com to review. The cover is stunningly beautiful. I absolutely love the originality of this story line with the Goddess Blood and The Belles that control the beauty of Orleans. I have been really getting into the Young Adult and Fantasy genres and this once has me very excited to read.
The author had me hooked in the beginning with the colorful and detailed descriptions of Camellia, her sisters, Orleans, the people of Orleans and the building excitement in the competition ring. My heart was pounding in my chest along side Camellias as her part of the competition began.
I am looking forward to reading the rest of this novel and finishing a full review.
