i didn't know how this would be because I'd long seen that cover and it looked to me so very "packaged," like it's perfectly "positioned" as a YA novel that will make teens see the cover and just start to scream!
But then reading the novel I could completely see that cover and I want it to come to life in a movie version. I picture it all being as colorful and beautiful and extreme as possible--caricatured and shrill and silly, but beautiful! These characters are like ludicrous sorority girls of beauty.
I picture this alternative universe fantasy as being set in sort of an 18th-century-style royal court, with beauty spots and wigs and off the shoulder dresses and big puffy skirts. I so very much want to see the movie!
This is a blast. I will have to see the movie! I want there to be a movie! --And this will appeal to actual adults like me, not just teens!
