The very beginning of this pulled me in and kept my interest through, I was disappointed when the sample ended because I wanted to see what happens next. The world building in just 16 pages is amazing and creates a world that is unlike anything I’ve read before. The imagery the book creates is like frosting and powdered sugar, it’s beautiful, sweet and intoxicating. I’m very interested to learn more about this world where people are born grey and ugly and turned beautiful by magic.
