I confess this was a title I originally caught interest in due to its gorgeous cover. As an avid reader of YA and fantasy, in particular, I knew it was a title I would want to read. Somehow I've managed not to have tried Dhionielle Clayton's work before in spite of having seen her on a great diversity panel at a convention. If all of it is as lushly descriptive and vivid as The Belles I definitely need to remedy that oversight. The Belles looks like it's going to be a remarkable novel, I can't wait to read the full text.
