What a great cover, the red and the picture are fantastic! The story reads like an old noir, I found myself caught up in the story very easily. While I do remember reading some of the opening of the author's previous book Lavender House I haven't read the book, with this being a sequel I'm not sure if that would be an issue. I do think fans of that book will thoroughly enjoy this one.
